Museum management Niederösterreich welcomed the digitization team from Modra in its facilities in St. Pölten, The collections from Lower Austria, which are planned to be processed within the project, were presented at the meeting. At the same time, the technical prerequisites and standards for the acquisition of objects were discussed. Further common working practices for collecting collections have been identified and the procedures for exchanging digital data have been agreed.
In the afternoon, a visit to the cylindrical engraving centre took place in Guntramsdorf, where work on the processing of the objects is already underway. The processors had the opportunity to see an extensive portfolio of existing objects and at the same time had the opportunity to exchange information on working methods and digital recording on the spot.
The meeting took place for the needs of the project “Cultural and Creative Revival of Traditions” (Heritage SK-AT), which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund within the Interreg V-A Slovak Republic – Austria Cooperation Program.
